Oryctes rhinoceros pheromone attractant pest lure
Oryctes rhinoceros pheromone lures would send out high efficient aggregation pheromones to allure the pests flying towards our multi funnel traps/half-underground traps, thus to achieve the purpose of seizing pests. No pollutions and environmental protection.
Timing of Trapping
It is best to place traps for the first time when the pests are at low density to lower economic loss. Or before their sex mature.
Trap selection
The Multi-funnel trap is most sensitive trap to use for mass trapping or monitoring Oryctes rhinoceros.
Trap density
For mass trapping about 15 traps per hectare would be for open fields.
Put the traps 1.5-2m above from the floor. Peripheral dense, thin in the middle.
Lures
Lures can be changed every 20-30 days to get the most accurate results.
Replace the lures every 20-30 days. If not catch any insects after 5-10 days, change the trap place.
Lures handling
Pheromone lures are very sensitive tool. They can be affected by exposure to elevated heat and direct sunshine. Direct touching by hand may cause cross contamination leading to mixed catches in the trap. Some contaminants such as Nicotine may have repellent effect reducing trap catch.
Lure Storage
In cool dry place, the shelf life is 12 months.
In refrigerator under -5~-15 degree, the shelf life is 24 months up.
